Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions by our candidates: Q. I've never worked with an employment agency, how does it work? A. Once you have been in to register with Accurate Staffing Consultants, you will be added to our availability list. When an assignment comes in that matches your skills, availability and preferences, we will give you a call, run through the details, and book you. You will receive an email from us confirming the job details, location, and pay. You will be required to fill out a timesheet during your assignment, which will log your daily hours and breaks. At the end of the week, this must be submitted to us so we can pay you. Q. What should I wear to a temp assignment? A. Your Accurate Staffing Specialist will advise you of the dress code individually tailored to your assignment. Q. Are taxes taken out of my check, or do I have to figure that out on my own? A. Accurate Staffing will calculate your taxes for you. When you begin working with us, we will provide you with tax forms that should be completed and returned to us as soon as possible, so we can add you to our payroll. Income taxes will be automatically deducted from each paycheck based on your withholdings. Q. How do I get paid? A. Accurate Staffing will pay you on a week-by-week basis. You will be asked to complete a timesheet each week, which must be returned to us by 9:00am on Monday. You will then be paid for your work the following Friday. Q. What do I do if I am sick while on assignment? A. You must call your Accurate Staffing Specialist as soon as you know that you will be unable to make it into work that day. Your specialist will then call the company you are temping at and advise them that you are unwell and when you will return to work. Q. What do I do if the client I am temping for offers me a permanent job? A. If you are temping and are offered a permanent job, you must inform your specialist immediately. Your specialist will then work with you and the employer to negotiate the best possible offer for you. Q. I am available for work, but I haven't heard from my Accurate Staffing Specialist. What should I do? A. Our specialists are very busy. If you are available for work and haven't heard from us in a little while, it is always worth emailing or calling your consultant and letting them know you are available for work. If you are looking for temp work that is very specific and you haven't heard from us, you may want to consider dropping your minimum salary requirements, extending the areas you wish to commute to etc. |
